who are we?
We are a non-profit organization that was founded in California in 2016. Our mission is to spread awareness about addiction and its effects on the people around us. We are based in San Francisco, California, which means we have access to many resources available on our campus and throughout the city at large.
What we believe
We believe that drug addiction is a disease that affects everyone, regardless of age or race. We also believe that it’s a public health problem and can be prevented by educating people about the dangers of substance use.
Our goals
Our goal is to raise awareness of addiction, provide support for those affected by it, reduce the stigma associated with addiction and provide education on addiction. We also hope that our scholarship will give students a chance at getting their lives back on track after they’ve struggled with an addiction.
How we do it?
The Drug Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides drug and alcohol addiction recovery programs, as well as education and awareness programs to the community.
The Drug Foundation currently offers free support groups, counseling, and recovery resources to people in need of help.
The mission statement
The Drug Foundation’s mission is to reduce the harm of drugs and alcohol through research, education and advocacy. The Foundation promotes health and wellbeing by providing evidence-based information about drugs and alcohol to help people make informed decisions about their use or misuse of these substances.
The aim is also to prevent addiction; promote recovery; provide education and information on how to avoid drug dependency; encourage effective treatment options for those who need them; support wider efforts towards preventing drug use among young people (eg through school policies); advocate for policy change at national level that tackles harmful substance use behaviour through a range of measures including public awareness campaigns targeted at young people (for example ‘Say No To Drugs’), targeted outreach services such as needle exchanges where they are needed most (in areas where HIV transmission rates are high), increased supervision in prisons etc.”
What is the Drug Foundation?
The Drug Foundation works with partners across New Zealand to achieve its vision of a drug-free society by 2025. This includes lobbying for increased funding for drug education in schools, supporting victims of violence due to substance abuse, providing counselling services for those who use substances recreationally or chronically, raising awareness about how people can take better care of themselves when using substances (e g , not mixing alcohol with other drugs), providing safe spaces where people can come together without fear of being judged or stigmatised by others because they use drugs as part of their lifestyle choice.
Conclusion
We have been doing this by providing grants, funding research, and partnering with organizations that are fighting for the same cause.
As you can see from our website, we believe there are many ways to help those suffering from addiction and their families regardless of whether they live in your state or country.
